Today was a huge step towards getting the Renshaw trail reopened. The bridge we purchased arrived at the Renshaw parking lot this afternoon. Now we have to apply for permits, contact DFO, do site plans and much more.
We have applied for a grant thru the REDIP program as well as a grant from NDIT to help us pay for the installation. We won’t know the status of our grant applications until the spring (Mar-Apr). We are also having discussions with Carrier Lumber about helping us as they have timber interests up the valley still.
This has been a very slow and frustrating process for us but we are making progress.
We have a lot of people to thank for getting us this far but I will save that for another post as the list is long and will take some time to assemble.
