Grooming report!
Lucille : Groomed Saturday night. Remember it’s still very early in the season folks so expect lots of gravel until 3 KM , slushy and icy to the 4.5 km mark and then fairly decent to the top.
Belle : There’s snow in the parking lot. The 1st km is a mix of slushy and icy with low snow coverage for about another 3 km. From the lower Y to the upper junction, the trail is decent. From there to the cabin the trail is in awesome condition with good early snow conditions.
Tommy Creek : There will be active log hauling for the next few weeks, expected to be done Mid December, from the cutblock at 1 km on the trail above the parking lot. We expect to get the groomer in place up there soon to begin trail packing and filling in deactivation ditches. Please avoid the temptation to go up there until we get the trails set as we still have early season low snow conditions and want the snow to set up in the cutblock to Tommy 1. There isn’t enough snow to make trails thru the trees into 2 or 3 yet.
The Lucille weather station is showing 20 cm of new snow yesterday as well. The trails are holding up well so far but there’s some warm weather in the forecast for this weekend that may change things.
Both the Belle and Tommy roads have some muddy spots to get thru. Belle and Lucille got fresh grooms tonight. There’s still lots of great riding to be had out there.
Remember to always check Avalanche Canada for the most accurate forecast conditions and be aware of your surroundings while riding.
